What is a Peptide

wp:paragraph

A peptide is a small chain of amino acids that acts like a messenger or helper in the body.

In simple terms, Peptides send signals to cells, instructing them on what to do.

How they work:

  1. A peptide binds to a specific receptor on a cell (like a key fitting into a lock).
  2. This binding sends a signal inside the cell.
  3. The cell responds by changing its behaviour.  For example, making more collagen, releasing hormones, healing tissue, or reducing inflammation.

Why they matter:

  • Help to regulate processes such as healing, muscle growth, skin repair, metabolism, and immune response.
  • Mimic natural signals in the body. Peptides usually work gently and precisely.

Peptides are short protein chains that communicate instructions to cells so the body can repair, regulate, or improve specific functions.
